Gavin Thrasher is a conductor, producer, and educator currently serving as Artistic Director for VoicesAlive, home of MenAlive: Orange County Gay Men’s Chorus. He holds a Master of Music from the University of Southern California, where he conducted the Apollo Chorus. He has led ensembles including Big Apple Performing Arts in New York City, Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, OCSA’s Montage, and has developed music education programs throughout Los Angeles. He has conducted at distinguished venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and Carnegie Hall, and his work has been recognized by major media outlets including the Los Angeles Times and Broadway World. Passionate about the transformative power of music, Gavin is committed to expanding its availability, accessibility, and impact.
